Jeremy Schreiber is returning for his fifth season on the Warriors Men’s Basketball coaching staff. Schreiber will assist Head Coach John Shoffner with all aspects of the basketball program, including recruiting, game and practice planning, public relations, scheduling, and player development.
Schreiber was born in Hilliard, FL, where he played under his father, Matt Schreiber, at Hilliard High School until the family relocated to Fernandina Beach, FL. Before graduating from Fernandina Beach High School in 2002, he received recognition as Nassau County Player of the Year, District 4-4A Player of the Year, and Honorable Mention All-State while playing under Coach Lou Pereira.
After High School, Schreiber attended Florida Community College at Jacksonville (’02-’04) where he was the back-up combo guard for a team coached by Gregg Gierke that was ranked in the top 15 in the nation in both seasons. When Schreiber graduated from FCCJ with an Associate of Arts degree in 2004, he held the school record for 3-point field goals made in a game (7).
For his junior year, Schreiber transferred to Georgia Southwestern State University (’04-’05) where he played under coach Randolph Barksdale. He was a captain and the starting point guard for a Hurricane team that was ranked in the top 25 in the nation and received a birth in the NAIA Division I National Tournament in Kansas City, MO.
Schreiber transferred to Webber International University (’06-’07) for his senior season. Schreiber was a captain and Honorable Mention All-Conference as a starting combo guard for coach John Shoffner. He graduated from WIU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 2007 and a Master in Business Administration degree in 2009.
The past 2 summers, Schreiber has played professionally for Terrasanta Beit Hanina (Jerusalem) of the Palestinian Basketball Association (PBBA). In 2010, Schreiber was 3rd in the league in scoring (32.5), and 1st in assists (8.4).
Matt Bringman
Assistant Men's Basketball Coach
Matt Bringman is new to the Warriors Men’s Basketball Program. Bringman will be a varsity assistant coach and the head coach of the JV gold team. Coach Bringman was also brought into the Warriors program to run individual workouts for the players.
Bringman was born in Toledo, Ohio but raised in Jacksonville, Florida where he was a 3 sport standout in high school. He played at Wolfson High School where he was All State in Football and Basketball and All City in baseball. Bringman still holds the single season 3 point shots made record at wolfson (88) and also threw for 469 yards passing in a game along with a no hitter on the mound his sr season.
After High School, Bringman signed to play at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Bringman played 3 years at PBA and was 6th man on the 2005 team which had the best record in school history (29-4). Bringman spent his sophomore year back in Jacksonville at FCCJ where he met a life-long friend in Coach Jeremy Schreiber. Bringman had a unique college career as he played in at least one game in every level of college basketball.
Since College Bringman has been training players in the Jacksonville area and has worked with many pro and college players. Bringman has trained pro players such as Jamon Gordon (Turkey) Derwin Kitchen (Israel) Kenny Walker (Hungry) and college players such as Patric Young (Florida) Aaron Bowen (Georgetown) Will Cummings (Temple) Shaq Johnson (Marshall) Chris Rozier (Valdosta State) Alex Bodney (Eckerd) and Shawn Smith (Missouri Commit) among others. Bringman was also former Division 1 head coach Mike Gillespie’s right hand man for the past two years where he was the director of operations for Mike Gillespie Skills Academy. Bringman helped coach run camps, individual/team workouts and also helped coach with his AAU team. Bringman has spent everyday for the last two years learning from the former FAMU coach.
Bringman’s family is back in Ohio all except for his Mother Vicki and his Father Rich. Bringman also has a Brother (Bob) and a sister Lisa who live in Michigan and Ohio.
