Lake Wales, FL – The 12th ranked Webber International Baseball team exploded offensively on Thursday night, rolling past the Warner Royals by a final score of 13–3 in seven innings. The SUN Conference Victory moves the Warriors Magic Number to Clinch the SUN Regular Season Title to just one game.
Webber wasted little time settling in at the plate, plating a run in the second inning before breaking the game open in the third. The Warriors erupted for five runs in the frame, using a mix of timely hitting and patience at the plate to take control early. Ty Mathews delivered a key extra-base hit in the inning, while Steven Nitch and Austen Jaslove continued to keep the line moving as Webber built a commanding lead.
The offense kept its foot on the gas in the fifth inning, adding four more runs to extend the advantage. Jaslove was a catalyst throughout the night, finishing with three hits, three runs scored, and two RBIs, while Nitch added three hits and two RBIs of his own. Mathews chipped in two doubles and two RBIs, and Will Gisriel reached base consistently, scoring twice and driving in a run.
Webber continued to tack on late runs in the sixth and seventh innings, pushing the total to 13 runs on 15 hits. The Warriors also capitalized on Warner miscues, drawing seven walks and taking advantage of four defensive errors to sustain multiple scoring opportunities.
On the mound, Mason Veronezi delivered a complete-game performance, tossing all seven innings while allowing just three runs on nine hits. The right-hander struck out eight and limited damage throughout the night, keeping Warner from mounting any significant comeback.
