West Palm Beach, FL – The 3rd ranked Webber International Men's Golf team competed at the SUN Conference Championships on Sunday April 19th through the 21st. Christopher Richards Jr. led the way for the Warriors finishing tied for 2nd, while Vedant Sirohi and Tristan Greenleaf both put up top 10 finishes at 5th and 6threspectively. As a team, the Warriors finished 2nd to hostsKeiser University. After the tournament, Richards Jr., Sirohi, and Greenleaf were named to the SUN Conference All-Conference 1st Team, and Head Coach Stuart Winsby was named as the SUN Conference Men's Golf Coach of the Year.

Leading the way for Webber was Richards Jr., who tied for second individually at -5. Richards was steady throughout the championship, carding rounds of 68 (-3), 69 (-2), and 71 (E) to finish just one shot off the individual title. His opening two rounds kept him firmly in contention, and he gave the Warriors a consistent low score all tournament long.

Sirohi finished fifth overall at +5 after rounds of 71, 74, and 73, while Greenleaf placed sixth at 219 (+6) with rounds of 72, 75, and 72. That trio gave Webber one of the strongest top-end lineups in the field and helped the Warriors remain in second place across all three rounds of play.

Kyle Miller and Zico Correia rounded out the scoring group for Webber, as both golfers tied for 34th at +22. Miller posted rounds of 74, 79, and 82, while Correia finished with scores of 76, 75, and 84. Webber also received an individual effort from Ismael Garcia Ramirez, who tied for 30th at +21 with rounds of 74, 76, and 84.

As a team, the Warriors were at their best in the opening round, firing a +1 to put themselves near the top of the leaderboard early, and they held off the rest of the field over the final two rounds to secure the runner-up finish. With Richards earning a share of second and three golfers finishing sixth or better, Webber put together one of the top overall performances of the tournament.

Richards Jr., Sirohi, and Greenleaf all won individual tournaments this season, and their continued high level play earned all three of them well deserved 1st Team nods, where they helped break multiple team records this season, including lowest combined team score twice, and highest ranking in program history. Leading the way was Winsby as head coach, who had his best season as coach, where he earned the well deserved Coach of the Year nod.

After the round, Winsby was proud of his team for how they fought all week

"Chris played fantastic all week and pushed hard all day losing out by 1 stroke. Vedant finished in 5th with Tristan one shot behind in 6th. We got off to a hot start and with the wind blowing all morning. The holes became more difficult as the day went on but very proud of how they battled all day to get outright 2nd. It was a fantastic semester and one I will not forget but the job is not done yet. A very big season from the Warriors means we will be taking the trip to TPC Deere Run for the NAIA National Championship in a couple of weeks.
