Babson Park, FL — The Webber International Men's Volleyball team fell in straight sets to Warner, 3-0 (17-25, 17-25, 21-25), in Appalachian Athletic Conference action Thursday night at home.
The Warriors were unable to find a consistent rhythm offensively, finishing with 24 kills and 25 attack errors while hitting -.012 as a team. Warner set the tone early with efficient sideout play and pressure from the service line, building two-set control before closing the match in the third.
Webber's best push came late in the final set, trimming the deficit and forcing extended rallies, but Warner answered with timely points down the stretch to secure the sweep. The Wildcats totaled 11 service aces and 12.0 team blocks, creating constant disruption and limiting Webber's clean looks.
Jordan Diaz led Webber with seven kills, while Janis Dobelis added five kills and paced the back row with seven digs. Tinashe Makona chipped in four kills and a team-high three aces. Setters Talan Stephens and Mateus Haubrich finished with 10 assists apiece as the Warriors recorded 22 total assists.
