Indianapolis, IN - The Webber International Bowling team competed at the Hoosier Classic on Saturday and Sunday. In a tough bracket that included NAIA and NCAA teams, the Warriors came out victorious.
This championship is the fourth Hoosier Classic title in program history. The Hoosier is the largest regular season tournament on the collegiate schedule, which includes the winning team getting to design its own masking unit that will be displayed forever during the tournament history.
The men's team qualified the eighth, where they faced the NCAA Division 1 Wichita State in the first round beating them 2/0. The Warriors then faced the Calumet College of St. Joseph Crimson Wave where they won 2/0. The final match for the title was against Neumann University and where the Warriors won in the best of five Baker matches 3/1.
The team was headed up by Brandon Bohn, who also won the singles title the day before. Bohn won in a  tough field that featured the top players in college bowling, competing on the toughest land conditions of the year. Bohn's win also now puts him in contention for Collegiate Player of the Year.
After the tournament, Head Coach Del Warren was proud of his team.
"I'm incredibly proud of this team and all the adversity they've gone through during the very long bowling season. We find out Wednesday what sectional will be placed in for singles and team competition."
