Warriors Can't Contain Seahawks Offensive Outburst

Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Men's Basketball team dropped an 84-44 Sun Conference decision to Keiser on Saturday afternoon  in Babson Park. The Seahawks used an early burst to take control and carried a 31-18 lead into halftime before pulling away further in the second half.

Webber showed some early fight, briefly grabbing a 11-9 edge at the 15:19 mark of the opening period, but Keiser answered immediately—stringing together a 9-0 run to flip the momentum and build separation. After an Ethan Taylor three-pointer cut the deficit to seven (23-16) with 5:56 left, Keiser closed the half with an 8-2 spurt to push the margin back to 13 at the break.

The second half was all Keiser. The visitors opened with a decisive 15-0 run that stretched the lead to 48-20, and they went on to outscore Webber 53-26 over the final 20 minutes. Keiser finished with 48 points in the paint, forced 20 Webber turnovers (turning them into 28 points), and logged 16 steals while also winning the rebounding battle 45-27.

For Webber, Mikel Forrest led the way with 10 points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting (3-for-3 at the line). Taylor added seven points, while Deon Brown, Thomas Morgan, and Landon Tillman each chipped in six (Morgan also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds). Iverson Plaza paced the Warriors with three assists. Keiser was led by Camerin James (24 points), Braylen Meredith (16), and Jackson Slater (14) as the Seahawks shot 50.0% from the field to Webber's 23.2%.
