Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Women's Volleyball team swept Florida College in straight sets on Thursday night in Babson Park, 25–22, 25–18, 26–24. The Warriors authored clutch runs late in each frame, closing the night with an ace to seal the third and a comeback to flip the opener after trailing by as many as six.
Set one belonged to the Warriors' block and serve receive down the stretch. Trailing 13–19, Webber strung together a 12–3 burst behind stops from Vivianne Cancio and Lucianna Marinella and sideout kills from Anna Morton and Kaylee Hunt. Naylim Andrews' late service ace and a Marinella finish pushed the hosts to set point before Morton closed it, 25–22.
In set two, Webber turned a tight mid-set into a runaway. Alejandra Aponte sparked a 10–5 closing run with a service ace and two long turns at the line, while Hailey Mull and Hunt found seams in transition. The Warriors' front line put up four team blocks in the frame, and Aponte's serve had the Falcons on their heels as Webber rolled, 25–18.
Set three was a tug-of-war with nine ties and multiple lead changes. Down 23–24, Webber answered with a block from Cancio and Marinella to erase set point, then Marinella hammered in transition for 25–24. Aponte capped the sweep in style with a walk-off ace, 26–24.
