Warriors Blank Eagles in 28-0 Road Win

Hollywood, FL. — Webber International leaned on a bruising ground game and a takeaway-hungry defense to post a 28–0 road shutout of Fort Lauderdale on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors piled up 346 yards (228 rushing) on 58 plays, controlled possession for 33:48, and finished 2-for-2 in the red zone while the defense limited the hosts to 207 total yards and 3-of-13 on third down.

After a scoreless first quarter, Webber turned an interception into points early in the second. Five plays later, Davaughn Thomas bounced in from nine yards at 9:00 of Q2 for a 7–0 lead. The Warriors made it 14–0 late in the third when Dorian Manuel burst through for a 32-yard touchdown to cap an 8-play, 68-yard march.

Webber slammed the door in the fourth. D'Markus Mathis needed just 17 seconds to race 56 yards to paydirt at 6:43, and R. Johnson finished the scoring with a 1-yard plunge at 1:15 to round out the 28–0 final. Kicker Rourke Davis was perfect on all four PATs.

The Warrior defense authored the shutout with 3 sacks, 6 tackles for loss, and two interceptions while keeping Fort Lauderdale out of the red zone entirely. Linebacker Caden Morrell stuffed the stat sheet with 11 tackles, a sack, and an interception returned 16 yards; Jonathan St. Jacque added 4 tackles, a sack, and a pick. Jeremy Willoughby logged 7 stops up front, while Anthoni Smith and Oscar Castillo each recorded a sack.
