Babson Park, FL – Webber Athletics and Athletic Director Brad Niethammer are happy to announce the hiring of Audrye Alejandro-Rivera as the new Women's Indoor Volleyball Head Coach.
Alejandro-Rivera joins Webber Athletics after a Bachelor's degree in Education with a minor in Coaching at Elms College, where he played Collegiate Volleyball for Three years. At Elms he was named a top 10 Libero in the nation, as well as Elms College Freshman Athlete of the Year, and the NECC Defensive Player of the Year. He helped lead the Blazers to their best record in school history at 29-5 in the 2019 season. After graduating from Elms, Alejandro-Rivera joined the Warner Royals as a Graduate Student, he was named two time Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as well as an NCCAA Scholar Athlete while pursuing his Master's in Education. After his season at Warner, he was also drafted into the Puerto Rican Professional Leagues.
Alejandro-Rivera started coaching while still at Elms, as a Student Intern Coach with the Elms Blazers Women's Indoor Volleyball team. After graduating from Warner, he spent four seasons with the Royals as an assistant for both the Men's and Women's Indoor Volleyball Programs. In the 2023 Men's Indoor Volleyball Season, he helped lead the Royals to an undefeated Appalachian Athletic Conference Regular Season and was named Conference Assistant Coach of the Year. Alejandro-Rivera was the assistant coach at Polk State College, where he helped the Eagles placed third in the state tournament. Alejandro-Rivera joins Webber after spending the 2024 season as the Women's Indoor Head Coach at Culver-Stockton College, where he made a 10-win improvement from the previous season, with 15 wins in a very tough Heart of America Conference, highlighted by a sweep against then #11 Missouri Baptist. At Culver-Stockton, he coached four All-Conference Honorees, with two on the third team and two honorable mentions.
Outside of his collegiate coaching, Alejandro-Rivera has also coached club volleyball with the Top Select Club. In all, he has a total of 17 years playing competitive volleyball and will bring a wealth of experience to the Webber Women's Indoor Volleyball Program.
Niethammer is excited to see where Alejandro-Rivera brings the Warrior Volleyball program.
