Warriors Secure Series Victory Over Bobcats

Miami Gardens, FL - Webber International swept a dominant SUN Conference doubleheader against St. Thomas, showcasing their offensive power and effective pitching.

In game one, both teams struggled to break through offensively until the fifth inning when Webber took the lead on a clutch RBI double from B. Morales, scoring M. Cuello. St. Thomas responded in the sixth with a solo home run from E. Ballenill, tying the game briefly. However, Webber quickly reclaimed the lead in the seventh when J. Smith delivered a sacrifice fly to bring home J. Becker, clinching a 2-1 victory. N. Palmese secured the save, shutting down St. Thomas hitters in the final frame.

Game two featured an explosive offensive performance from Webber, highlighted by an eight-run second inning, driven by home runs from J. Smith and B. Sanchez, who combined for six RBIs in the inning. Webber continued to build their lead, scoring four more runs in the third inning, with key hits from R. Rodriguez, J. Smith, and R. Recio. In the sixth, Webber added another run from an RBI single by J. Smith.

The seventh inning saw Webber unleash a ten-run assault, capitalizing on errors and timely hitting, including a two-RBI double from J. Smith and additional RBI hits from G. Cruz and J. Blackmore. St. Thomas attempted a comeback, scoring five runs across the sixth and seventh innings, but it was too little too late, as Webber secured a commanding 24-5 victory to sweep the doubleheader convincingly.
