Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Women's Lacrosse team hosted the New College of Florida Mighty Banyans for Senior Day on Saturday. Led by a dominant performance from Bryce Gerber, who totaled 9 points (4 goals, 5 assists), the Warriors surged past the Mighty Banyans 11–6, in a high-paced, physical SUN Conference matchup.
First Quarter: Gerber and Leavines Set The Tone
Webber jumped out early, as Hailey Leavines scored her first of three goals just over six minutes in, assisted by Gerber. Though NCF's Ashley Palmer quickly answered to tie the game at 1–1, Leavines struck again a minute later to reclaim the lead.
From there, Webber pushed ahead. Gerber found Taylor Richardson for a goal at 2:51 to give WIU a 3–1 advantage heading into the second.
Second Quarter: Defense Tightens, Offense Finds Gaps
WIU extended its lead in the second as Emelise Diaz capitalized on another Gerber assist, making it 4–1. NCF's Ashley Palmer, however, continued to battle, scoring her second goal—this one while under pressure (UP)—to close the gap to 4–2 just before halftime.
Third Quarter: Fireworks from Both Sides
The third quarter saw the game's most explosive stretch, with both teams trading momentum. NCF struck twice early to tie the game at 4–4, including goals from Makayla Hardware and Lauren Weingarten (assisted by Tierra Tryon).
Webber responded in dominant fashion. Goals from Reliza Ann Fitzpatrick, Gerber, and Leavines restored and extended the lead. NCF's Nancy Siguenza briefly cut into the gap, but Gerber took over, scoring back-to-back goals—including a strong solo effort while under pressure (UP)—to complete her hat trick and push the lead to 9–5.
Fourth Quarter: Webber Seals the Deal
Gerber wasn't done. She added her fourth goal of the night (DN) to open the final quarter, followed shortly by Gabriella Isgrigg, who buried an unassisted shot to give Webber a commanding 11–5 lead.
NCF added one final score with just 11 seconds remaining as Weingarten netted her second, assisted by Palmer, but it was too little too late.
