Warriors Drop SUN Road Match Against Mighty Banyans

Sarasota, FL – The Webber International Men's Soccer team dropped a Sun Conference road match at New College of Florida on Saturday afternoon, 5–1. Jesus Perez provided the Warriors' lone tally on a second-half penalty, while goalkeeper Alvaro Garcia turned away nine shots against heavy NCF pressure.

NCF struck early and carried a 2–0 lead into halftime, opening the scoring in the 7th minute and doubling it in the 34th. Garcia was busy from the start, logging six saves in the first half to keep Webber within reach.

The hosts made it 3–0 in the 51st minute, but Perez pulled one back at 55:06, burying a penalty to make it 3–1. Webber generated more going forward after the break—out-shooting its first-half total 7–12 minutes into the period and forcing four second-half saves.

NCF sealed it with two quick strikes in the 79th minute to set the final margin. Garcia added three more second-half saves; Webber's back line dealt with 14 shots on target overall.
