Babson Park, FL — The Webber International Women's Basketball team used swarming defense and a deep bench to overwhelm Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday night at the Sabbagh Center, racing out early and never looking back in a 74–44 win. The Warriors piled up 26 steals and turned 40 UFTL turnovers into 40 points while leading by double digits most of the way to open the 2025-26 campaign with a victory.
Webber set the tone in the first quarter with live-ball takeaways fueling layups and runouts for an 18–8 lead, then ripped off a 20–7 second frame to carry a 38–15 cushion into halftime. The Warriors' pressure kept the Eagles off balance throughout, and a late fourth-quarter surge pushed the advantage to a game-high 34 points with 2:46 remaining. Quarter scores: 18–8, 20–7, 18–14, 18–15.
