Babson Park, FL — Webber International turned defense and the service line into instant offense Tuesday night, ringing up 19 aces and 8.0 total blocks in a brisk three-set sweep of Trinity College of J. The Warriors hit .195 (31–15–82) and never trailed for long, while holding the visitors to -.072 (14–20–83).
Set 1 (25–9): Setter Abigail Leonard set the tone early—feeding Vivianne Cancio for the opening kill and then dropping an ace. Webber's serve-pressure snowballed behind Naylim Andrews and Janniliz Nazario, and a mid-set run from Katie White (back-to-back aces) blew it open. Webber finished on a 10–2 burst capped by Leonard's kill.
Set 2 (25–12): Webber's block/serve combo took over. Alanys Rodriguez teamed with Sherian Horner for the first point via a stuff, then ignited a 6-0 surge highlighted by two more Andrews aces. Tiara Sands and White repeatedly terminated in transition, and Ajhanae Momperousse closed crucial rallies at the pin. Horner's kill sealed it at 25–12.
Set 3 (25–17): Trinity's best push (two early service aces) briefly leveled the frame, but White answered with an ace and Rodriguez stacked two more at the line. Webber's late wall—Rodriguez/Momperousse on a stuff and a final block from Momperousse/Sands—snuffed the comeback.
