Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Women's Lacrosse team hosted the University of Health Science & Pharmacy on the Warrior Turf Field Monday afternoon. The Warriors took down the Eutectics 17-5.
Natalie Baumgarten scored first for the Warriors, with an assist from Bryce Gerber. Kaitlyn Patterson would get on the board next, off an assist from Reliza Ann Fitzpatrick. Ayame Macedo would score next for Webber to take a 3-0 lead. The Eutectics would get a goal before Cheyenne Burton would score. UHSP would score once more but a goal from Patterson would preserve the three -goal lead heading into the second.
The Warriors would shut out the Euctetics in the second quarter. Sara Brieterman scored first on a man-down opportunity for the Warriors. Gerber scored again with an assist from Patterson before Leavines would score from the free position. Patterson scored once more to give the Warriors a 9-2 lead heading into halftime.
Gerber started the third quarter scoring three straight goals for the Warriors, extending the lead to 12-2. Baumgarten also got on the board again with a free position goal. Courtnie Couch scored for the Warriors towards the end of the quarter, as Webber headed to the fourth quarter with a 14-2 lead.
UHSP scored first in the fourth quarter, but a goal from Gerber would keep the Warrior lead at 12. The Euctetics and the Warriors would trade two goals apiece as Patterson would score two more times to give Webber a 17-5 victory.
Gerber led the team with 11 points, off of five goals and six assists. Patterson had six points, on five goals and one assist. Patterson also led the Warriors in ground balls and caused turnovers with seven and eight respectively. Alia Loydd also had six ground balls. In the goal, both Jordyn Davidson and Hannah Register netted one half of play. Davidson had two saves and Register had four.
The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, March 23rd when they host the Life Running Eagles at 10 AM.
