Warriors Fall in Final Game Before Christmas

Babson Park, FL – The Webber International women's basketball team faced a tough test on the road against Lindsey Wilson College, falling 71-44. Despite an early push from the Warriors, Lindsey Wilson's depth and efficiency proved too much to handle.

In the first quarter, Webber started with energy, led by Jaiden Ross, who scored 6 points in the opening frame. However, the Warriors struggled to convert from beyond the arc, going 0-for-7 on three-point attempts. Lindsey Wilson capitalized on their defensive stops, building a 13-10 lead behind strong free-throw shooting.

The second quarter saw Lindsey Wilson extend their lead with a surge of offensive efficiency, shooting 56.3% from the field and 50% from three-point range. Emily Cox and Claire Fleming combined for 11 points in the quarter, helping the Blue Raiders pull away. The Warriors continued to struggle offensively, shooting just 18.8%, and went into halftime trailing 34-18.

Webber found some offensive rhythm in the third quarter, shooting 50% from the field, with Ross continuing to lead the charge. However, Lindsey Wilson maintained control, relying on their depth, with Gracie Borders and Janiya Davis contributing off the bench. The Blue Raiders held a commanding 53-35 lead heading into the final quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Lindsey Wilson closed out the game with a strong finish, shooting 50% from the field and converting 3-of-6 from three-point range. The Warriors struggled to keep pace, shooting just 16.7% in the quarter. Lindsey Wilson's bench outscored Webber's 30-10, highlighting the depth difference.

For Webber, Jaiden Ross led the team with 16 points and 4 rebounds, while Renae Brant added 7 points and 6 rebounds. Lindsey Wilson's balanced attack was spearheaded by Emily Cox with 11 points, and Claire Fleming added 10 points and 4 rebounds.
