Miami Gardens, FL – The Webber International Men's and Women's Basketball teams traveled to Miami Gardens to take on the St. Thomas Bobcats in a SUN Conference matchup. Both teams were down early to the Bobcats but neither were able to overcome the deficit, as the Women fell 80-49, and the Men fell 67-64.
Renae Brant led the women with 12 points, she had nine rebounds and two assists as well. Jaiden Ross had a double-double for the Warriors with 10 points and 13 rebounds, as well as three assists and one block. J Curry had nine points two assists and two rebounds. Kori Wimberly and Neri Moreau each had seven points, with Wimberly grabbing seven boards and Moreau grabbing two. Kahliya Gaitor and Zeri Tyler each had two points for Webber as well. The Women's team fell by 31 to the Bobcats, 80-49.
Jaylin Bain led the Men's team with eight points, he also added two rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Jordan Golden was the second leading Warrior with seven points, four rebounds, and three blocks. Zachary O'Callaghan added five points on three rebounds and the Warriors lone three-pointer of the night. Jerry Carraway Jr. and Montreal McCullough each had four points and two rebounds, with Carraway Jr. adding two assists as well. Khalyl Simmons, Orlando Thomas, and Gabriel Sorensen each had two points. Sorensen had six rebounds, Simmons had four and Thomas added one with one assist. The Men's team fell by 33 points 67-34.
The Warriors will be back in action on December 6th when the Men's Basketball team travels to Temple Terrace, Florida to take on the Florida College Falcons, while the Women's Basketball team hosts the Florida National Conqusitadors on December 9th.
