West Palm Beach, FL – The Webber International Women's Soccer team took the short trip down south Saturday morning to play SUN Conference Opponent Keiser University. The Seahawks came into this match boasting an undefeated record and the honor of being the #2 team in the country. Despite the Warriors best efforts against this juggernaut, they would be bested and fall on the road 3-0 against the Seahawks.
The Seahawks would dominate from the first whistle on Saturday morning, pushing their offense up the field and controlling possession. They would record six shots in the first 10 minutes, four missing and two being saved by Warrior's keeper Juliana Grider. Grider would record three first half saves, but the Seahawks persistent in their attack, taking 13 shots in the first half to score two goals in the 26th and 29th minute to take a 2-0 lead going into halftime.
The second half would be almost a reflection of the first half with eight more shots towards goal for the Seahawks. The Seahawks chose to play more possession based in the second half after their third goal in the 55th minute. The final whistle blew giving the Seahawks a 3-0 victory over the Warriors on Saturday morning in south Florida.
The Warriors will return home for a Wednesday afternoon matchup against Florida Memorial University at 3:00 PM in Babson Park, Florida.
