Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Men's Soccer team hosted their home regular season finale on Sunday afternoon against the #4 ranked St. Thomas Bobcats. The Warriors knew coming into the match it would be difficult to matchup with the Bobcats, who had only lost one match in the entire season so far. The Bobcats would tally two early goals in quick succession early in the second half and that would be enough to take down the Warriors 2-0 in Babson Park.

The Warriors would be shut out from an offensive standpoint in the first, recording zero shots to the Bobcats six. The two quick goals from the Bobcats would come in the 16th and 17th minutes, both scored by Nicolas Lund, and both off crosses into the box that Lund was able to finish into the back of the net. Ben Parkinson would record his only save of the first half in the 22nd minute, and go on to record five more saves in the second half. The Warriors offensive attack would be much more involved in the second half, taking six shots across the second 45 minutes of action. KJ Mann and Miguel De Silva would have their shots go high and blocked in the 53rd and 54th minutes, and Gian Luca Fink would get a header towards goal on the back post that went just wide. Despite a lack of offensive production, the Warriors showed fight and battle against a highly skilled Bobcats team. The final whistle would blow on the Warriors home 2024 season, and the Bobcats would take the 2-0 win over the Warriors.

The Warriors will start their two-game road trip to wrap up the 2024 season with a trip down to Ave Maria, FL on Wednesday, October 30th, to play the Ave Maria Gyrenes at 4:00 PM.
