Savannah, GA – The Webber International Men's soccer team visited their farthest SUN Conference foe on Wednesday evening with a trip up to see the SCAD-Savannah Bees. After a week off from play due to Hurricane Milton, the Warriors were excited to jump back into action. Although their attitudes and beliefs were strong, the Bees proved to be the stronger side, taking a 5-0 victory over the Warriors on a chilly October evening.
The Bees were the dominant squad in almost every facet of the game in the match on Wednesday evening. The Warriors took six shots to the Bees 30 with 15 of those being on target compared to the Warriors two. Ben Parkinson, the Warriors starting goalkeeper, would record seven saves with three goals against in his 58 minutes of action, and Ethan Kibell would relieve Parkinson and make two saves of his own while allowing two goals. The Warriors would trail 2-0 going into halftime and the second half would tell a similar story as the Bees added on three more goals, making it a 5-0 road defeat for the Warriors.
The Warriors will celebrate senior day this Saturday afternoon, October 19th, at 3:00 PM at the Warrior Grass Field in Babson Park, as they take on New College of Florida.
