Box Score West Palm Beach, FL – The Warriors open SUNC play with a heartbreaking loss to the Keiser Seahawks. With this, Webber moves to 12-3 on the season.
Golden got things started for the Warriors with a three-pointer to give the Warriors a 3-0. Quick defensive stops set Holt up for seven straight points, before a triple by Nesby and another bucket from Holt made it 15-0 for the Warriors.
Over the next five minutes, Keiser went on a 14-12 run, before a layup and three-pointer by Zachary O'Callaghan and Cooper Peterson kept the Warriors ahead. A free throw from Nesby sent the Warriors to the half up 44-35.
The Warriors opened the second half with the same energy as back-to-back layups by Nesby made it 48-35. The Seahawks grabbed their first lead of the night with a bucket seven minutes in. Free throws by Nesby and a triple by Golden put the Warriors back in front.
The Seahawks went on a 20-14 run to take the lead late in the half. The Warriors kept fighting until a layup by Holt finished the game with WIU down 86-81.
Webber will be back home on Wednesday, January 10th at 7:30 pm as they are set to host College of Coastal Georgia in the Sabbagh Athletic Center.
