Webber golf returns from Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite

VALDOSTA, Ga. (February 22, 2022) – The Webber International University men's and women's golf teams completed the final day of the Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Georgia on Tuesday. Freshman Clay Jacobs finished tied for 14th on the men's side while senior Hannah Revell finished tied for eighth on the women's side.
 
Men's Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite – Final Results:
  • The Webber men's golf team (318-302-313; 933) finished the tournament in sixth place.
  • Individually, Clay Jacobs (74-76-76; 226) tied for the third-lowest round one scoring among all 44 competitors and finished tied for 14th place overall for the tournament.
  • Timo Gangl (79-74-79; 232) and Harrison Hodgson (78-75-79; 232) both improved three positions on the final day to finish tied for 24th place.
  • DJ Dobkins (87-77-79; 243) improved by 10 strokes from round one to round two, finishing the tournament in 39th place.
  • Rounding out the men's scoring would be Avery Hurst (89-79-80; 248) who would be part of the four Warriors' that shot their best round in round number two, finishing in 41st place.
Women's Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite – Final Results:
  • Leading the Lady Warriors was Hannah Revell (77-77-76; 230) who shot her best score in round three, improving by two positions on the final day to finish the tournament tied for eighth place out of 37 competitors.
  • Katy Hill (90-92-100; 282) finished in 35th place while Mary Varga (100-95-107; 302) finished in 37th place.
Next up, the men's golf team will be preparing for the Monument Golf Oldfield Classic, hosted by the University of South Carolina Beaufort at the Oldfield Golf Club in Okatie, South Carolina on Monday, March 28, and Tuesday March 29.
