BABSON PARK, Fla. (January 11, 2022) – The Sun Conference has announced that the Webber International University women's basketball team will participate in the Game of the Week this Thursday when they travel to Florida Memorial University.
 
The Warriors (12-4 overall, 4-2 SUN) head into the matchup on a current three-game winning streak while the Lions (8-4, 5-0) are currently on a four-game winning streak. Florida Memorial is undefeated in Sun Conference play and sit just ahead of the Warriors in second place in the conference standings behind only No. 4 Southeastern.
 
Webber is averaging 76.4 points per game so far this season while the Lions average 75.3. Both teams are very efficient in forcing turnovers as the Warriors are third in the nation in steals per game (14.8), just ahead of Florida Memorial who is fourth in the nation (14.6).
 
The Lions will be coming off of a long break, not having played a game since December 14. The Warriors will look to continue their good form in 2022 thus far and hand Florida Memorial its first Sun Conference defeat. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. in Miami Gardens, Florida.
