Webber golf competes in Southeastern University 2021 Fall Invitational

LAKELAND, Fla. (September 22, 2021) – The Webber International University men's and women's golf teams completed the final day of the Southeastern University 2021 Fall Invitational at the Grasslands Golf & Country Club on Tuesday, and in the end, senior Daniel Lapp shot a two-under-par to finish tied for 13th while senior Hannah Revell finished in 15th on the women's side.
 
Men's Southeastern University 2021 Fall Invitational – Final Results:
  • The Webber men's golf team (291-300-284; 875) finished the tournament in fourth place.
  • Individually, Lapp (68-75-71; 214) shot tied for the second lowest round-one score among all 29 competitors, a four-under-par score of 68, and finished tied for 13th place overall for the tournament at two-under-par.
  • Through the first two rounds, Lapp led all competitors in number of pars with 28.
  • Julian Hawlitzky (72-75-70; 217) shot a two-under-par round-three score in order to move up two spots on the final day, finishing tied for 16th.
  • Timo Gangl (75-75-71; 221) finished tied for 23rd after shooting a one-under-par in round-three.
  • Following right behind Gangl, was Carl Rosenholm (76-76-72; 224) tied for 25th after scoring an even-par in round-three.
  • Rounding out the team scores was freshman Clay Jacobs (78-75-76; 229) finishing the tournament in 28th place.
  • Haoqi Lin (79-74-74; 227) participated individually and finished the tournament in 27th place.
 
Women's Southeastern University 2021 Fall Invitational – Final Results:
  • The Webber women's golf team (376-359-368; 1103) finished the tournament in sixth place.
  • Revell (81-77-76; 234) had her best scoring round on the final day, moving up two places and finishing in 15th overall out of 35 competitors.
  • Katy Hill (91-89-82; 262) had her best round on the final day as well, improving by seven strokes from round-two to round-three, finishing the tournament tied for 29th.
  • Maddie Merritt (87-87-95; 269) would finish the tournament in 34th place.
  • Following Merritt would be Mary Varga (117-106-115; 338) in 35th place.
 
The Warriors men's and women's golf teams will be back in action next week on Monday, September 27, and Tuesday, September 28, when they travel to Palm Harbor, Florida to participate in The Invite at Innisbrook at the Innisbrook Resort – North Course.
