MIAMI, Fla. (April 9, 2021) – In what was the Warriors' final Spring game this season, the Webber International University women's volleyball team fell 3-1 (25-13, 22-25, 25-16, 25-19) against Florida National University on Friday evening.
Webber had three players finish with eight kills:
Nadia Reid,
Svenja Koenig and
Kayleigh Smith. Koenig hit .412 percent for the match.
Camryn Brown recorded her third double-double of the season with 19 assists and 10 digs, and
Paysee Crow added 10 assists.
Smith also reached double-digits in digs with 10 while Reid and
Kiersten Tisdale nearly did the same with nine each.
It was a new career-high both in kills and in digs for Smith.
Tied 22-22 in the second set, the Warriors won it with three straight points on a kill by Koenig, a service ace by Smith, and a kill by
Delaney Keown.
With a record of 2-3 this Spring, the Webber women's volleyball team finished its 2020-21 season 6-14 overall. It was also the first loss in program history for Webber against FNU, which improved to 9-8 overall on its season.
