BABSON PARK, Fla. (March 1, 2021) – The second ever game in the history of the Webber International University men's lacrosse team was also the first win in program history for the Warriors, who defeated Point University 21-6 on Monday to improve to 1-1 both overall and in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

In the end, Nelson and West both finished with five goals and had one assist for six total points.
Dave Becker and Kew both added three goals, and
Houston Finlayson scored twice as well.
Jackson paced the Warriors in assists with two and has now reached at least three points in both games so far this season, something both he and Nelson have accomplished so far.

In face-offs, Masters was 7-for-10, Becker was 5-for-6,

Webber's Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
Chris Burdick said, "First off, you have to really respect Coach Feeley's Point squad. That Point team can teach us all a lot about heart and what this game is all about. From our perspective, this is a big moment for all of the players, but especially for
Alex Germilus and
Reynold Rey, who helped start this program. We will enjoy this first win for a few minutes, but we have to get to work preparing for a very good Keiser team on Wednesday".
Next up in only two days, Webber will play on the road for the first time in program history as the Warriors head to West Palm Beach, Florida, to battle No. 4 nationally-ranked Keiser University at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3. It will be the second game against a top-five nationally-ranked team for the Warriors only three games into their inaugural season.
