Webber women’s soccer falls to SCAD Savannah 3-0

BABSON PARK, Fla. (October 18, 2021) - The Webber International University women's soccer team fell 3-0 to the Bees of Savannah College of Art and Design this past Saturday on the Warrior Grass Field.
 
The Warriors (9-2-1 overall, 3-2-0 SUN) were outshot 21-6 by the Bees (9-4-1 overall, 4-1-1 SUN). 
 
The Bees found the back of the net once in the first half and twice in the second half. In the 34th minute, Sydney Chura connected on a through ball from Abigail Siddal, to put the Bees up one.
 
In the second half, a corner kick in the 68th minute from Berglind Baldursdottir connected with the head of Pauline Watta to double the Bees' lead. Chura assisted the third and final goal from Courtney Culp in the 78th minute.
 
The Warriors are back in action at home for their Senior Day on Thursday, October 21. They will take on the Ave Maria University Gyrenes at 3 p.m. in a Sun Conference match up.
