PALM HARBOR, Fla. (October 1, 2021) – The Webber International University men's and women's golf teams participated in The Invite at Innisbrook at Innisbrook Resort – North Course in Palm Harbor, Florida on Monday, September 27, and Tuesday, September 28, resulting in the men's team finishing tied for 11th and the women's team finishing in 15th.
 
Men's The Invite at Innisbrook -  Final Results:

• The Webber men's golf team (304-305-299; 908) had their best round on the final day to improve by four spots and finish tied for 11th out of 20 teams.
• Daniel Lapp (73-71-70; 214) improved every round and shot a one-under-par in the third round to finish tied for fourth place out of 104 total competitors.
• It is the second time so far in the 2021-22 season that Lapp has finished within the top-five.
• Timo Gangl (76-76-73; 225) shot his best round on the final day, improving 16 spots to finish tied for 34th.
• Graduate student Julian Hawlitzky (81-77-76; 234) also shot his best in the third round, finishing tied for 70th.
• Joachim Toft (78-81-80; 239) finished in a two-way tie for 90th place.
• Rounding out the team-scoring for the Warriors was Carl Rosenholm (77-82-85; 244) who finished in 96th place.

 
Women's The Invite at Innisbrook – Final Results:

• The Webber women's golf team (393-367-371; 1131) shot their best in round-two, but ultimately finished in 15th place out of 15 teams.
• Senior Hannah Revell (85-79-74; 238) improved by six strokes in round-two and five strokes in round-three, propelling her up 17 spots on the final day to finish tied for 15th place out of 77 competitors.
• Katy Hill (91-92-87; 270) scored her best round on the final day to finish tied for 61st.
• Sophomore Maddie Merritt (86-88-99; 273) finished the tournament in 65th place.
• Mary Varga (131-108-111; 350) rounded out the scoring for the women in 76th place.

 
Next up, Webber golf will be hosting the Nancy Nichols Invitational in Sebring, Florida at the Sun 'N Lake Golf Club on Monday, October 11, and Tuesday, October 12.
