BABSON PARK, Fla. (January 29, 2021) – For the fourth time this season and for the second time against St. Thomas University, the Webber International University women's basketball team will play in The Sun Conference Women's Basketball Game of the Week. Tomorrow on Saturday, January 30, at 2 p.m. inside the Fernandez Family Center, the Warriors will battle the Bobcats of St. Thomas for the third time this season, and yet again, second-place in The Sun Conference women's basketball standings will be on the line.

Webber is currently 13-4 overall and 9-3 in The Sun Conference, holding a half-game lead over St. Thomas (11-3, 8-3) in the conference standings. A win for either team on Saturday would put them a game up in loss column over the other.

The Warriors are currently on a four-game winning streak and are 7-1 on the road this season while the Bobcats are 5-1 at home.

St. Thomas has defeated Webber twice inside the Sabbagh Athletic Center this season, winning 77-73 on December 3 and then winning another single-digit game at 77-71 on January 7. However, the Bobcats are only 2-2 since that win on January 7 with losses at Keiser University (L 77-56) and at home against Southeastern University (L 51-47).

Senior guard Paris Copeland currently leads Webber at 14.3 points per game and is fifth in The Sun Conference in the category, but is only one of five Warriors averaging double figures in scoring. Junior Amaya Small is next at 13.1 points per game, followed by senior Eletra Graham at 12.1 points, junior Dasia Wandick at 10.4 points, and senior LeAndra Franklin at 10.2 points.

Franklin, who leads The Sun Conference with 5.4 assists and 4.4 steals per game, is ranked second in all of the NAIA in total steals, and is seventh in the country in total assists.

Additionally, Small, who leads the team in rebounding per game at 7.5 boards and is first on the team with 1.1 blocks per game, is ranked 23rd in the NAIA in offensive rebounds per game at 4.1.

The TSC Women's Basketball Game of the Week on Saturday can be followed via live stream or live stats.
