BABSON PARK, Fla. (September 19, 2020) – Coming off of a nail-biting five-set victory over its Crooked Lake rival Warner University three days before, the Webber International University women's volleyball team kept its momentum going and earned its fourth win in a row with a 3-1 (25-22, 26-24, 16-25, 25-18) victory over Florida Memorial University on Saturday night inside the Sabbagh Athletic Center.
The win propelled Webber's record on the season to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in The Sun Conference while Florida Memorial, which was picked to finish second in the conference in the league's preseason coaches' poll, fell back to .500 both overall and in The Sun Conference at 2-2 and 2-2.

Camryn Brown.
Unlike the first set, the Warriors needed a comeback effort to win the second set as Webber trailed 8-4, 9-5 and 14-10 early on and did not come back to tie it until at 17-17, but the Lions answered back with three straight points to go back up 20-17.
Back-to-back kills by McCarty and
Nadia Reid got Webber back to within one at 21-20, and then Webber took its first lead of the set at 24-23 after a 3-0 run that was finished with back-to-back kills by Burgos-Heredia.

Lastly, after a service error by the Warriors tied it at 24-24, a service error by the Lions followed by a big kill from McKinley on the assist from Vega gave Webber the 2-0 set advantage.
After a rough third set in which Webber hit only .024 percent and allowed the Lions to finish the set on a big 11-4 run, the Warriors came out in the fourth set ahead 11- 5 after a 5-0 run featuring kills by Koenig,

After FMU tied it at 12-12 thanks to an 8-1 run, Webber would close out the set on a 13-5 run as three straight kills by Glouner, McCarty and Burgos-Heredia made it 23-17 Warriors before Burgos-Heredia recorded the final point of the night on a kill assisted by Vega to win it.
