LAKE NONA, Fla. (February 28, 2020) – On Thursday, February 27, the Webber International University men's and women's tennis teams traveled to the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida, for a neutral match against NCAA Division-II Davenport University. The Webber men's tennis team put up a good fight but fell 5-2 while the Lady Warriors were swept 7-0.

- Ivan Bondarenko won in three sets at No. 2 singles, taking it 7-5, 5-7, 1-0 (10-4).
- Marc Schneider won in a close second set at No. 4 singles, taking it 6-4, 7-6 (7-2), earning his first singles victory of the season.
- Cyrille de Hollain fell 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot and Jose Cordero made his Warrior debut with a respectable 6-3, 6-3 defeat at No. 5 singles.
- Webber men's tennis fell to 0-7 overall while Davenport improved to an impressive 8-3.

- Isabelle Niehoff forced three sets in the No. 4 singles spot, falling 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-4).
- Lily-Rose Rochat lost 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, Jenna Fosdick fell 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles, Svenja Koenig fell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, and Esmeralda Fernandez lost 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 5 spot.
- Webber fell to 0-7 overall while Davenport improved to 3-16.
Next Up: The Webber women's tennis team will host Grace College (Ind.) in nonconference action at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, at the Webber Campus Tennis Courts. Then, both the Webber men's and women's teams will play at home against Judson University at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3.
