WEST POINT, Ga. (October 31, 2020) – The Webber International University men's basketball team finished off its third straight road game to open the 2020-21 season on Saturday, and in the end, the Warriors came up short for the third game in a row, falling this time by a score of 92-75 at Point University.
Webber (0-3) shot 60 percent (6-10) from three in the first half, but allowed Point (1-0) to shoot over 53 percent from the field while the Skyhawks were also 9-for-9 from the free throw line and led it by a score of 42-31.
Then in the second half, Point was again very strong from the free throw line while raising its field goal percentage to 55 percent overall.
Jaylon Myles finished with 23 points for the Warriors, and was followed by
Kris Goettert with 16 points,
Rasheem Etienne with 15 points, and
Justin Boyd with 13.

Gabriel Rutledge said, "Although it was another tough loss tonight, the guys are learning how to play with great energy and effort on both ends of the floor. Tonight showed the importance of being locked in on the defensive end. We will continue to work on the little things and build a successful program. Go Warriors."
Next up for the Warriors will be their 2020-21 home opener as Webber welcomes the Suns of Johnson University – Florida into the Sabbagh Athletic Center at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 2.
