BABSON PARK, Fla. (March 20, 2019) – For the second time in two seasons, both of the Webber International University men's and women's tennis teams defeated NCAA Division-II Franklin Pierce University as the Warriors' women's team swept their match 9-0 and the men were winners by a score of 7-2.

- Webber men's tennis improved to 8-6 overall on the season and improved to 4-2 at home and 5-4 in nonconference matches. The Warriors have now won four of their last five matches and since defeating Warner University back on February 20, Webber has won seven of its last nine matches overall. The Ravens fell to 5-3 overall on the season.

- Emily John won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, and Paula John won 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 2 spot.
- Isabelle Niehoff (No. 3 singles) and Jenna Fosdick (No. 4 singles) both swept their respective opponents by scores of 6-0, 6-0.
- Svenja Koenig and Megan Kelson both only let up two points in their respective matches as Koenig won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and Kelson was victorious 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
- Webber's women's team improved to three games above .500 overall at 8-5 and is now an impressive 5-2 at home. The Lady Warriors have now won three of their last four matches and have won six of eight matches since defeating Warner back on February 20. Franklin Pierce fell to 2-16 overall.
Next Up: Next up for Webber tennis is a women's only match against NCAA Division-III St. Catherine University at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, before the Warriors look to play both Florida Tech and Southeastern University in make-up matches that were postponed earlier this year.
