WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (September 28, 2018) – The No. 22 Webber International University football team will open 2018 Mid-South Conference Sun Division action with an important matchup against Polk County rival Southeastern University at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, inside Denison Stadium in Winter Haven, Florida.

The Warriors enter the contest undefeated at 4-0, and are the only unbeaten team in the Sun Division of the Mid-South Conference. In all, Webber is one of only three undefeated teams in the entire 21-team conference and is one of seven teams in the league ranked in the NAIA's top 25.

The Warriors are currently scoring at a clip of 34 points per game while the Webber defense is holding opposing offenses to 10 points a game.

Southeastern, which is currently receiving votes in the top-25 poll, was ranked as high as No. 11 in the NAIA to start the season and was ranked No. 18 a week ago. The Fire are 2-2 overall and are coming off a 40-35 defeat to No. 17 Bethel University. In all, Southeastern has lost twice only by a combined six points, but the start of Sun Division action marks the beginning of a new season for all teams.
