Men's golf wins dual match

LAKE WALES, Fla. (March 9, 2018) – Senior Jack Ewbank paced the Webber International University men's golf team with co-medalist honors on Thursday, March 8, in a 299-316 dual meet victory over Shenandoah University.

Playing at the par-72, 7072-yard Lake Wales Country Club, Ewbank shared medalist honors with the Hornets' Joseph Gesell by shooting a 74 (+2).

Three Warriors tied for third place as Alberto Uriach, Andrew Iverson and Augusto Charaf each shot a plus-three score of 75.

Playing as an individual, Max Bowmer-Adey shot a 77 followed by George Daniels, who played as a part of Webber's top five and scored a 78.

Charaf tied for the lead among all players with three birdies and was minus-three on par-five scoring. Iverson was tops among all players in pars with 13 while Ewbank and Uriach each had 12 pars. Additionally, Ewbank was even in par-four scoring to lead all players.

Next up, Webber men's golf will host another dual match, this one coming against North Park University on Tuesday, March 13, at The Club at Eaglebrooke in Lakeland, Florida.
