Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International took the court against their rivals #5 Warner University tonight. Unfortunately for Webber, nothing seemed to go right as they suffered a 91-67 loss.
The Warriors found themselves trailing quickly in what was a 28-56 score at halftime with the Royals on top. Webber came out firing in the second half as they outscored the Royals 39-35. Unfortunately, the second held charge was not enough to calm the Royals as Warner went home with the victory 91-67.
On the bright side,
Daniel Coffey hit a milestone in his Webber career as he scored his 1000
th point as a Warrior. Interim Head Coach,
Gabriel Rutledge was quick to call a timeout so the team could cherish the moment. Congratulations to
Daniel Coffey, his teammates and coaches that have helped him on this journey as a Warrior.
Other highlights for the Warriors were
McDonald Jean-Louis who scored 13 points and 7 rebounds and
Joelle Bigham who threw up 10 points.
Webber will travel for their next game to Temple Terrace, Fla. to face Florida College on Monday February 13th. These two teams met earlier in the year with the first meeting going to the Warriors 79-77. Go Warriors!!!
