Zambrano and Todd score in men’s soccer season finale

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 28, 2017) – Seniors Juan Pablo Zambrano and Sam Todd both netted goals for the Webber International University men's soccer team during a 7-2 loss to Keiser University on Saturday at Arrigo Vecello Field during what was the 2017 season finale for the Warriors.

After winning its first two matches of the season, Webber wraps up its 2017 campaign with an overall record of 2-10-1 and a 0-8-1 record in The Sun Conference. Keiser finishes the regular season at 8-4 and 6-3 as the Seahawks will enter the postseason as the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament.

"Head Men's Soccer Coach Neil Cockburn spoke on his team's season, "It has been a very tough season, but we have learned a lot from it. I am very proud of my seniors for being good role models for the younger players."

After allowing five unanswered goals in the opening half and another early in the second, Zambrano got the Warriors on the scoreboard, finishing off of a pass from Todd with 25 minutes remaining.

Following a Keiser foul inside the box in the 85th minute, Todd added a score for Webber on the penalty kick, giving the match its final score of 7-2

Zambrano's goal was his team-best fourth of the season and second in two matches to finish the season, while Todd's was his second of the season.

Zambrano finished the match with three shots for Webber, while Todd had two and Brandon Byrne, Noel Omondi, Diachi Arahara, Armani D'Agostino and Ben Bouchier added the Warriors' other attempts.

Omondi led Webber on shots for the season with 28, while Todd was next with 21 followed by Arahara with 17 and Charlie Lambert with 16.
