Babson Park, Fla. (October 20, 2017) – On the night of Tuesday, October 24, the Webber International University men's and women's basketball teams would like to welcome all students, faculty, staff and community members to a special Midnight Madness tipoff event inside the Sabbagh Athletic Center.

The event is slated to start at 8:45 p.m. after a "Fields of Faith" concert sponsored by Webber's Fellowship of Christian Athletes on the Warriors' baseball field.

Immediately following the concert, activities will continue inside the Webber gymnasium as the Warriors men's and women's basketball teams will participate in scrimmages, player introductions and skills contests.

First-year Head Men's Basketball Coach Allen Corbin had this to say, "In order for us to be successful this season, we need to have a home court advantage. We need to have a packed gym for every game! I am hoping that we can fill the gym for midnight madness and give the students, faculty, and community a glimpse of what to expect this season."

Fans will also be treated to numerous opportunities to take home prizes, as well as a chance to meet many other Warrior student-athletes and coaches among other sports. Rumors of a group dance party at the event have also been making the rounds.

Head Women's Basketball Coach Grady Morrell said, "Midnight Madness is a great event for the fans and players because of its tradition and excitement. At Webber, it is like a basketball family reunion."

The Warriors men's basketball season is set to tipoff inside the Sabbagh Athletic Center on Wednesday, November 1, at 7 p.m. against Edward Waters College, while the women's basketball season will also begin at home against Edward Waters on Monday, November 6, at 5:30 p.m.

"I am very excited for this upcoming season," continued Corbin. "We are going to look very different from what Webber has looked in the past. We are going to play hard and we are going to play together. We are going to be fun to watch."

It is sure to be a fun-filled Tuesday night at Webber, so make sure you do not miss out on your chance to support your Warriors.
