Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University men's basketball welcomed the visiting Polk County rivals (RV)Southeastern University Fire today for a matchup of the Sun Conference. The Warriors outmatched the Fire as they came away with an 83-79 victory.

Just 9 days ago this same Warriors team traveled to Lakeland and were devastated by an 89-58 loss. Head coach, John Shoffner was asked what the team was able to change in order to come away with a win tonight, he replied, "I left it up to the team before the game today. They decided they didn't want to feel like they felt 9 days ago driving home from SEU. They brought a ton of energy today and played with a purpose, and a big difference was we made our runs when we needed too."

Southeastern was listed as receiving votes for the top 25 in the nation in the most recent NAIA top 25 coaches' poll. Just two games ago, the Warriors suffered an overtime loss to the #23 Florida Memorial Lions.

Tonight's player of the game has got to go to McDonald Jean-Louis as he recorded his first double-double of the year. He scored 26 points shooting 9-14 from the field, 4-5 from the 3-point line, 4-4 on his free-throws and defensively he came away with 10 rebounds and 2 steals. Johnathan Childs added 16 points of his own with 5 rebounds. Jovany Deceus was huge defensively with his 10 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals.

The Warriors will next travel to Miami for another Sun Conference matchup against the St. Thomas University Bobcats. That game will be held on Thursday January 19th, at 7:00 p.m. Go Warriors!!!
