Women’s Volleyball Now 4-0 With Colden and Baxter Re-Writing Warrior Record Books

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Montgomery, Ala. – Webber International University women's Volleyball continues the hot streak taking down Mobile University and the tournament host Faulkner University. This moves Webber to 4-0 on the season. Freshman Tessa Colden and Carlee Baxter both broke Webber volleyball records this past weekend.

The lady Warriors took down Mobile University in 4 sets with scores of 25-15, 25-21, 22-25, 27-25. Tessa Colden had her 3rd double-double of the weekend with 24 kills and 15 digs. Nikki McDaniel had 17 kills and 24 digs. Michelle Calderon had 35 digs. Katie Schueman had 3.0 blocks.

Congratulations and a job well done goes out to Carlee Baxter who had 51 assists. That breaks the Webber International University school record for assists in a 4 set match.

Congratulations and a job well done also goes out to Tessa Colden who set a freshman record for kills and registers back to back double-doubles, eventually to gain 3 double-doubles. She had 25 kills in the previous win over Cumberland University hitting .302% and tallying 29 digs.

The second match of the day was against Faulkner University where the lady Warriors again took the match in 4 sets with scores of 17-25, 25-9, 31-29, 26-24. Nikki McDaniel had 28 kills and 12 digs. Tessa Colden had 17 kills and 15 digs. Michelle Calderon registered 36 digs.

Carlee Baxter went on to break her own record that she set previously against Mobile by having 53 assists in the 4 set match against Faulkner. Congratulations!

The lady Warriors are now sitting at 4-0 on the season. They will compete this Tuesday in their home opener against Florida College at 7:00 p.m. Let's pack out the Sabbagh Center in support of our lady Warriors!!!
