Box Score 2 BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University women's indoor volleyball team took to the court against Brenau University and Cumberlands University yesterday and came away with two wins to open their regular season play.
In the first matchup of the day, the lady Warriors took on the Brenau University Tigers. The Warriors showed dominance over the Tigers defeating them in 3 sets at scores of 25-19, 25-11, and 25-11. This gave the Warriors the win and moved them to 1-0 on the season.
The second matchup of the day, the lady Warriors took on the Cumberland University Phoenix.
Tessa Colden, the 5-7 freshmen for the lady Warriors, registered 25 kills and 29 digs.
Nikki McDaniel, the 5-11 senior, had 13 kills and 23 digs. The lady Warriors took the match in 4 sets from the Phoenix at scores of 25-17, 25-18, 16-25, 25-18.
This is a great start for Webber who is looking to improve on an 8-15 year posted in 2015. The Warriors will continue play today at noon at the Faulkner invitational located in Montgomery, AL. Go Warriors!!!
