Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Webber International University men's basketball was on the road, Thursday, taking on No. 10 Keiser. The Warriors played well in the second quarter but it would not be enough as Webber International fell to the Seahawks, 67-56.
Dewaine Lyals put in the best performance of his career, posting a near triple-double, scoring 18 points, hauling in 19 rebounds and rejecting seven shots. Daniel Coffey also had a strong game, netting 17 points and grabbing six rebounds.
The first ten minutes were tightly contested with the Warriors jumping ahead, 12-11. Keiser would then go on a 14-2 run, hitting four three pointers.
The Seahawks would close out the first half with their seventh three of the game, sending the Warriors into halftime down, 31-20. Lyals and Coffey combined for 15 of the Warriors 20-first half points.
Webber International would see Keiser open the second half with a 10-2 run, pushing its deficit to 35-22.
The Warriors slowly but surely continued to chip away at the Seahawks' lead, eventually cutting it down to six points with a minute to go. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to complete the comeback, with the Warriors falling to Keiser, 67-56.
