Warriors Men’s Basketball Snipe Nighthawks

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Warriors went out and took care of business tonight as they took down the visiting Thomas University Nighthawks 75-74.

Tonight's game was full of intensity as it stayed neck and neck during the entire duration. In the first half roughly 7 minutes in, the Warriors had the largest lead of the game at 7 points. The first half would finish with the Nighthawks cutting the lead and tying the game with a half court prayer by Javoris Cooks as the clock ticked 00:00. Halftime score was 38-38.

The second half continued the same as the Warriors held a minimal lead and were able to close it out 75-74 moving them to 1-1 in the powerful Sun Conference.
Unstoppable for the Warriors tonight was Daniel Coffey. Coffey had 24 points hitting 14-15 free throw attempts and notching 13 rebounds with a block and a steal to boot. Johnathan Childs put up 15 points of his own as he was 6-10 from the field, 2-3 from the 3 point line and added 4 blocks defensively. Derian Fraga continued to bring his energy to the court as he added 13 points shooting 3-4 from the field and 7-8 from the free throw line.

This is a great win for the Warriors as they move to 3-7 overall and 1-1 in the mighty Sun Conference. They must now shift their focus to the next Sun Conference matchup as they travel to Miami Saturday at 4:00 p.m. to face the Johnson and Wales Wildcats.
