Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla. – Webber International University men's basketball was on the road against rival No. 10 Warner, Saturday afternoon. After a tightly contested first half, the Warriors would lose out to the Royals, 87-75.
Daniel Coffey once again led Webber International, with 24 points. He also led the team in rebounds with eight. Dewaine Lyals and Sam Auguste both cracked the double-digit mark, netting 13 points each.
The first half opened with the two teams trading baskets. Warner led the early goings, but the Warriors kept the game close. Webber International took its first lead of the game at the 12-minute mark, 17-16.
The Royals offense responded soon after, taking control of the half, building a lead as high as 10 points. After the first 20 minutes, Webber International was down, 44-35.
The Warriors would struggle to contain the nationally-ranked Royals in the second half, eventually falling to Warner, 87-75.
