Box Score BABSON BARK, Fla. – Webber International University men's basketbll hosted archrival Warner, Saturday. The Warriors played well but faltered late, eventually losing out to the Royals, 82-71.
Daniel Coffey had a strong game, netting a team-high 19 points to go with five boards and two assists. Dewaine Lylas nearly registered a double-double with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Warner controlled the game early on going up by as much as seven in the first five minutes of action. The Warriors were able to battle back, taking a 13-11 lead. Derian Fraga came off the bench on fire, scoring seven consecutive points for Webber International, pushing its lead to 20-15.
The Warriors would hold the lead for the majority of the half, till Warner hit back with a 13-4 run to regain the lead at 35-31. After the first 20 minute of action the Warriors found themselves down, 37-34.
It would be up hill sledding in the second half as Webber International worked hard to get back into the game.
The Warriors would continually chip away at the Royal advantage, till a converted and-one play by
Giovanni Poitier but them ahead, 61-60, with six minutes to play. Unfortunately, the Webber international could not hold, falling to Warner, 82-71.
