Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University men's basketball hosted Thomas University, Saturday. After a tightly contested first half, the Warriors would eventually fall to the Nighthawks, 99-77.
Junior guard Joelle Bigham had a big game, scoring a game-high 22 points, going 4-8 from beyond the arch. Daniel Coffey was stellar from the free throw line, going 11-14 and finishing the game with 14 points. Derian Fraga and Ronzell Evans also played well, registering 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Bigham opened the first half by scoring the Warriors first seven points. The Nighthawks hit back with a 12-2 run, building a 22-9 lead. Thomas' offense stayed hot pushing a head by as many as 17 points. The Warriors kept within striking distance, heading into half down, 48-40.
The Warrior came out fast in the second half, cutting the Thomas lead to six points after five minutes of play. A 16-4 run by the Nighthawks would put the Warriors down, 79-60, with seven minute left in the game.
Webber International could not fight its way back in to the game, eventually falling to Thomas, 99-77.
