Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University men's basketball hosted No. 14 Keiser University in a Sun Conference matchup, Monday night. The Warriors could not find a rhythm against the Seahawks, eventually losing out, 95-69.
Daniel Coffey lead the team in points and rebounds for the third-consecutive game, posting 18 points and grabbing seven rebounds. A strong second half saw Dewaine Lyals cross the double-digit mark with 12 points, adding six rebounds and two blocks. Derian Fraga had a strong game off the bench for the Warriors, scoring nine points in 15 minutes of action.
Coffey opened up the game hot, scoring seven of the Warriors first 13 points. Midway through the first half, Keiser went on a 16-2 run to open up a 13-point advantage. Back-to-back threes from Cody Carden would cut the Seahawk advantage to single digits, but at the half the Warriors were down, 55-28.
Turnovers plagued Webber International in the second half, and throughout the game, preventing the Warriors from mounting a comeback. Lyals was a bright spot for Webber International in the second half. The big man accounted for 12 points for the Warriors, scoring 10 and throwing a prefect alley op for an assist. Webber International would see its deficit reach as high as 32 points, eventually falling to the Seahawks, 95-69.
