Box Score HIALEAH, Fla. – Webber International University volleyball visited South Florida, Saturday, for a clash with Florida National University. After an early surge from the Conquistadors, the Warriors stepped up and defeated Florida National, 3-1.

Sophie Rossard put in another solid effort tallying 30 assists, 8 kills and 6 digs. On the defensive side of the ball, libero
Michelle Calderon posted 28 of the Warriors 75 digs.
The first set was neck-and-neck throughout. Florida National was able to edge Webber International late, taking the set, 26-24.
Down a set, the Warriors put together a resounding response. Both the offense and defense were stellar in the second set, leading to a massive 25-8 win, tying the match at 1-1. Webber International continue to roll in the third set, taking a 2-1 lead after winning the third set, 25-12.
With victory within reach, the Warriors fought off a late Conquistador push to take the fourth set, 25-22, and win the match, 3-1.
The Warriors are back in action next week with two road matches. Webber International opens conference play, Wednesday, September 23 at Ave Maria. The Warriors close out the week, Saturday, September 26 with a match up against Keiser University.
