No. 20 Football Set for Clash With No. 8 St. Xavier

BABSON PARK, Fla. – No. 20 Webber International University football heads north to Chicago for a match up with No. 8 St. Xavier, Saturday, September 19 at 7 p.m. EST/ 6 p.m. CST. The clash between the two ranked teams has garnered national attention, being chosen as the NAIA Football Game of the Week.

Accolades on Accolades
The Warriors are coming off a successful week, which saw Webber International upset then-No. 16 Campbellsville, achieving a program-best No. 20 national ranking and securing the first Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week award of the 2015 season.

The Unstoppable Force
Through three games, Webber International holds a 2-1 overall record and ranks among the best offenses in the nation.

The Warriors' 918 yards on the ground this season ranks No. 2 in the NAIA.

Webber International boasts two top-15 rushers in seniors Darius Page and Brendan Deshields, ranked fourth and 12th, respectively. Page has racked up 346 yards on the ground and an NAIA-best six touchdowns, while Deshields has rushed for 278 yards off his own.

Junior quarterback Billy Pavlock has also found success on the ground, rushing for 119 yards and four touchdowns.

About No. 8 St. Xavier
The Cougars own a 2-1 record after three games. St. Xavier opened 2015 against No. 1 Marian University, losing out 45-13. The Cougars followed the loss with two straight victories, including a win over Ave Maria.

The Cougars feature a high-powered passing offense lead by junior quarterback John Rhode. Rhode has thrown for 992 yards and eight touchdowns in three games, ranking second in the nation in total passing yards. Junior receiver Stephen Simms is St. Xavier's go-to target, having hauled in 324 yards on an NAIA-best 25 catches.
