Men’s Soccer Drops Road Match Against Warner

Lake Wales, Fla. – Webber International men's soccer made the short trip to Lake Wales, Wednesday, to take on rival Warner. In a tightly contested match, the Warriors fell to the Royals, 1-0.

The Warriors controlled the early goings, pushing the tempo on offense. Webber International created multiple good chances, including a dangerous shot from Sean Whalen that forced the Warner keeper make a save in the third minute In the 20th minute, the Royals broke the stalemate to put the Warriors behind, 1-0.

The Warrior's continued to attack, taking six more shots and forcing two more saves. Unfortunately when the whistle blew for halftime, Webber International was still down, 1-0.

The second half saw, Warner fall back into a defensive shell to hold on to its slim lead. The Warriors were not deterred, outshooting the Royals six to one in the half. Even with the offense clicking, the Warriors could not find an equalizer, eventually falling to the Royals, 1-0.

The Warriors are back in action Wednesday, October 14 for a Sun Conference road match against Florida Memorial.
